APPLECROSS - For a longer day out Applecross is well worth a visit which is on the mainland, Skye can be seen from there in the distance.  You can get to Applecross by taking the Bealach na Bà road or a winding coast road from Shieldaig. The Bealach na Bà road is a single-track road with switchbacks and a steep slope. Some say it's one of the most incredible drives in Scotland.
